MIRMI researches the fundamentals of robotics, perception and artificial intelligence (AI) to address key challenges in the areas of health, work, mobility and the environment. The key to realising these ambitions is transdisciplinary research. MIRMI creates an infrastructure that enables PIs and researchers to work together in laboratories and collaborate with leading scientific institutions and technology companies.

The compact Vero cameras have sensor resolutions of either 1.3 or 2.2 megapixels. prophysics has equipped the MIRMI, a research laboratory for robotics, perception and artificial intelligence, with a Vicon motion capture system, Kistler force plates, Cometa 32 channel and a Motek M-Gait system. The aim of the MIRMI laboratories is to carry out experiments on test subjects in order to answer questions about human biomechanics, neuromechanics and sensorimotor function. This involves testing and evaluating various robotic assistance and rehabilitation systems for medical and healthcare applications.
